And our fun and informative

april & may Meetings

While you're on the website, check out the fantastic April 13th and May 3rd meetings we have planned, and RSVP for those too! (Please note, these are both Members Only events).

April's speaker is Master Gardener Hannah MacBride, who will give a talk on planting your garden to attract pollinators, and gardening in an environmentally responsible way.

There is no charge for this program, but please RSVP as space is limited.

At May's annual meeting and luncheon we'll enjoy a presentation by Trim Hahn, who will show us how to create an English flower arrangement using easily available flowers.

You can RSVP for this meeting on the website now (and also pay for your luncheon while there).

Annual dues

Are payable soon -- so watch for an invitation to the Annual Meeting, which will not only instruct you in how to pay for the luncheon on the website (should you need help) it will also tell you how annual dues can be paid.

For help with all things website, contact Johane Telgener (jtelgener020@gmail.com) or

Gena Cohen Moses (genacohenm@gmail.com).

New Members

We are excited to welcome some new members who have joined the Club in recent weeks --

Please keep an eye out for Elizabeth Lahey and Jessica Barnett at our upcoming meetings, when you can introduce yourself and welcome them in person. Prospective new members (those who have expressed an interest but have not yet joined) are Genevieve Mooney, Jennifer Brossert and Marie Martell. We hope to be welcoming them soon too!

My Turn Millie!

On February 26th, The Concord Monitor's My Turn segment featured a piece written by our very own Millie LaFontaine. The piece, titled "Where are all the Birds?" expressed her concerns about local climate and habitat change, and how they are affecting our native species populations.

If you didn't see the article, take a moment now to read it here. Way to go, Millie!

Centennial News

We are (almost) 100 years old! An "idea lunch" to brainstorm the Concord Garden Club's Centennial Celebration year was held at Lauren Savage's home last month. Lots of ideas were discussed, but no decisions made. If you were unable to attend the lunch, please contact Lauren to add your own ideas to the mix. lauren.savage1971@gmail.com

Board Minutes

The Board Minutes button in the Member Only Area of the Concord Garden Club website has been updated and now has links to minutes of all 2022 Board meetings. Going forward, members will be able to find all Board meeting minutes here as they are approved. Please get in touch with Johane or Gena if you are still having trouble accessing the Member Area of the website.
